The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) has issued a stern warning to its members that gasoline with more than 10% ethanol can (and will) damage the small engines used in mowers, trimmers, tillers, pumps, etc as well as in Utility Vehicles.

Well, guess what else has an engine similar to these machines? That's right; your scooter does. All scooter owners, especially those in Colorado (where ethanol is extremely common) must be wary of the fuels they are pumping into their scooters. We have seen a rash of scooters recently brought in for rough running, having difficulty coming off idle and stalling. Our technicians have determined that bad gas has been a frequent cause for these fuel-system related problems.

We are recommending to all our customers, including those who operate 300cc and larger machines, LOOK BEFORE YOU PUMP to make sure that the gasoline you use has no more than 10% ethanol content.
